The School Sports Premium Grant is additional allocated funding from the government to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. It is also used to improve the health and well-being of primary school pupils. Here at Portishead Primary School the money is allocated across the school to ensure that children have access to a broad and balanced PE curriculum and is intrinsically linked to the fourth pupil outcome of our school vision - Resilient, Confident Children.
From EYFS to Year 6 this funding means that children get high quality PE lessons, access to specialist coaches, take part in competitive sport and other exercise (e.g. Weston Dance Festival).
