Friday enrichment sessions

Our Friday enrichment sessions are a much-loved part of the week at PPS, giving pupils the opportunity to explore new interests, develop skills, and learn in a different, more creative way. Each week, children choose from a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, music, construction, coding, sports, origami, team games, and board games.

These sessions are designed to nurture curiosity, independence, and collaboration, allowing pupils to discover new talents and build confidence outside of the classroom. Whether working as part of a team, solving problems, or creating something new, children are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and try something different.

One particularly popular option has been chess, where we have seen a growing number of enthusiastic and talented players. Our budding chess champions demonstrate impressive strategic thinking, patience, and resilience, and take great pride in developing their skills week by week.

We are proud of the variety and quality of our enrichment offer, and the way it supports the wider development of our pupils, helping them to become well-rounded, confident, and engaged learners.
