Thank You Captain Sir Tom.

It is with great sadness that we received the news of the sad passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore.

In September, as a sign of our huge respect and gratitude, we named a Year 6 class after Captain Sir Tom.

As we take in this sad news, our thoughts are with his family who have lost a father and grandfather.

In a time of great national need, just as he had done in the Second World War, Tom stepped forward and led by example. We all need heroes. Perhaps now more than ever.

Sir Tom was a much needed beacon of light, a shining example of selfless service for others and a man with great passion, empathy and humility.

Thank you Sir Tom,  for a life of great service and a legacy that will continue to inspire us all to be the best we can and to have hope for a better tomorrow, however hard our today may be.

Tonight our governing body will stop at 6pm and join the national clap to honour this incredible man.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
