Foodbank Arrangements for the Christmas Period

Many families across the UK and in our own community  face financial hardships during this difficult time. The Foodbank in Clevedon is here to help. Please ask for help if you need it.

PLANNED OPENING HOURS OVER CHRISTMAS (please note in your diary)

Monday 21st December (Clevedon, 9.30-11.30)

Wednesday 23rd December (Portishead, 12.00-2.00)

Thursday 24th Dec (Clevedon, 9.30-11.30, Yatton, 9.30-1.00)

Tuesday 29th December (Clevedon, 9.30-11.30)

Wednesday 30th December (Portishead, 12.00-2.00, Nailsea, 12.30-2.30)

Thursday 31st December (Yatton, 9.30-1.00)

Normal hours resume from Monday 4th January 2021....

 

For emergencies outside those times, The Foodbank  mobile phone (07722 769529) will be monitored and they will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.

Donations of gifts: small gifts can make a big difference.  If you or your organisation would like to give these, please contact us at info@clevedondistrict.foodbank.org.uk and we’ll suggest a category (e.g. girl, 4-6) to aim for – this helps us make sure we have enough to cover the whole family.

Donations of Christmas food: please check our website and social media for most-wanted items – this will be regularly updated. 

First week of December, please! (Please check the sell-by/use by dates are long enough...)

For families or friends/acquaintances facing redundancy please be aware of thew Clevedon ‘foodbank redundancy support’ scheme –

Contact the North Somerset Citizens Advice at www.citizensadvice.org.uk/helptoclaim or phone 0800 144 8 444 (8am to 6pm, Mon to Fri) to reach expert help with benefits applications; quote ‘Foodbank Redundancy Support’ to get a Foodbank voucher for food parcels for six weeks while awaiting benefits.
