As well as dressing in costume, the children enjoyed a whole day of Roman themed activities which is their History unit in Term 5.

Part of the day was designing and making their own Roman legionary shields, including painting and decorating them.

Thanks to the Year 4 team for bringing the learning to life and to our families for providing the amazing costumes they wore.

West Hill certainly looked like a Roman invasion on Friday morning. The Roman army must have been an awe-inspiring sight to the ancient Britons!
