Through pictures, we celebrated her extraordinary life and finished our remembrance with a round of applause.

We also gave thanks for the life of service she led and for the humility, kindness and dignity that characterised her reign. 

We recognise that this is a sombre time for the nation and have chosen to make the experience in school one of thanks to support our children.

We will all be experiencing a range of emotions. For some of us this time will be deeply moving and for others, the magnitude of the event will be much harder to comprehend.

The Queen was a mother and grandmother as well as our monarch. Our thoughts are with her family and those closest to her. 

We will miss you Your Majesty.
