The Great British Spring Clean - Friday 5th April

Portishead Primary School is proud to have joined this nationwide initiative in 2019. We thought we would start with a project close to all of our hearts and focus on the school grounds where we generate some litter but also a significant amount is blown in from the Marina and roads surrounding our grounds.

On Friday the 5th of April (INSET Day) we are opening our grounds from 10 am until 11.30 and invite you to come in and litter pick with your children. School staff will be talking part in curriculum training during the day so this will be run as a ‘drop in with your children and supervise yourselves’ session. Bin bags and litter pickers will be provided. We will be sending out more information next week but encourage as many of you as can to come along and take part. Mr Riordan will be dropping in and out of the session to say Hi and thank you all for taking part.  Save the date in your diary and look out for a parent mail with more information coming soon.

This event is now being supported by Portishead Turn The Tide who will be coordinating parnets and child volunteers. We thank them and you in advance for all of your support.
