Summer term 2012 - year 6

Our main topic in year six this term will be "From Madagascar to Morocco" which is a science topic around the themes of interdependence and adaptation of humans and other animals and plant life.  There will be art work, literacy and geography linked to it.
In PE children will be learning striking and fielding games, practising athletics for sports day and undertaking tag-rugby coaching.
They will carry out work in maths and English to be passed onto year 7 tutors and teachers.  As well as this they will have their transition visit(s) in July and other contact with Gordano staff.
Camp will take place during the week begining 6th June.
With all this going on the children will be very busy but should have a fabulous end to their primary school days.  Home learning tasks will be sent but will sometimes be replaced with tasks such as learning scripts.
