ICT Vision Statement

Portishead Primary School - Information Communication Technology Vision

Vision Statement


At Portishead Primary School our aim is to create motivated ‘life-long’ learners through the use of ICT to enhance learning and teaching.  Education in the 21st Century is preparing children for a future in which ICT is an integral part of society and therefore it is our aim to ensure that we develop ICT skills and safe use of ICT.
Relationships –


Our aim is that -
a) ICT will provide access to all 
b) Parents, children, governors and teachers will all work together to enrich learning opportunities and enhance communication using ICT as a tool 
c) ICT will be used to support all children to ensure that they are able to reach their full potential, regardless of gender, race, disability, ethnicity
d) Creative and innovative approaches to learning will be enhanced
e) f) g) h) j) ICT will be used to develop independence, confidence and safe, discerning, responsible users of technology
i) ICT will be used to develop learning both at home and with the wider community with the creation of shared and enhanced learning opportunities
j) ICT will aid collaboration, management and administration.
Partnerships
a) ICT will be embedded into every day school life
b) Flexible learning will be developed where resources can be accessed anywhere and anytime
c) Communication will be developed with parents and the wider community including global partnerships
d) We will develop a secure and reliable communication between school and parents
e) f) g) We will work together with the community to actively promote and utilise safe ICT opportunities

h) Free access to a multitude of ICT technology will be provided


Achievement


 a) f) ICT will motivate and inspire everyone to raise standards across the curriculum
b) Enhanced learning opportunities will support all children to reach high learning achievements
  c) g) Personalised learning experiences will be developed
 d) Improved learner engagement and learning outcomes developing lifelong learners
 e) Through the use of ICT we will promote social interaction and collaborative working
This vision statement has been arrived at following consultation between staff, governors, pupils and parents and will be reviewed every three years.
