Meet the Governors

I have been a parent governor for approximately two years. I have two daughthers, of of which has recently started year 7 at Gordano School, and the youngest of which is in year 5 at Portishead Primary School. When I am not being a mum, or a governor, I am a General Practitioner in a surgery just South of Bristol.

My name is Helen Skipp and I am a Local Authority Governor though was a Parent Governor for many years when my boys attended Portishead Primary. I am primarily the SEN Governor which links well with my professional role as the Year 7 Boost teacher at Gordano School. I am a member of the School Improvement Committee and also have Governor responsibility for Looked After Children and Governor links with the subjects of Numeracy and PSHE.
