Pupil Achievements

Every week on a Monday we hold a Celebration Assembly when the achievements that children have made throughout the week are celebrated.  Children and teachers nominate each other for certificates to celebrate these achievements.

Certificates are placed on the achievement board in the main school entrance that everyone is welcome to come and read.

Maths Challenge- December 2011

Mrs Lineker accompanied four children when they took part in a aths Challenge at St. Peter’s school.  This event was run by Gordano School taff for children from local primary schools. They ere put into teams with pupils from other schools and et various challenges and tasks. They all had a great morning and enjoyed meeting and working with new people. We would like to thank them for representing our school and doing so well.

Football News -  November 2011


9 boys from Y6 took part in local finals against Clevedon and Nailsea schools.


Through this they got a wild-card into the County finals which will take place
in January. The team did fantastically well.  Special congratulation to one boy who has been selected to play in the North Somerset Squad.

 Cross country running event


All of Y6 competed in this annual event at Gordano School. There were around 300 runners and many of our children finished with high placing. Special congratulations to two children who achieved 3rd and 5th place. They will now go on to compete at a regional event at Ashton Court.


Our other highly placed runners who go through to local finals.   Well done to everyone who took part and a big Thank you to parents who were able to come and support the event.

Bristol Schools Maths Challenge News

 Four children from Y6 represented the school at this event for very capable mathematicians. They competed in a range of maths challenges against 40 other schools, mostly from the private sector. They competed in pairs and finished 5th out of 40 and 19th out of 40 which is a fantastic achievement. They worked incredibly hard and did themselves, their parents and the school proud! Thank you.

 North Somerset SSP Primary Cross Country


What a fantastic time our Y5 & 6s had at Gordano Cross Country event.  Our top four boys were second, fourth, sixth and seventh.  The top girls were tenth, fourteenth, nineteenth and twenty-second. 

Thank you to them for representing our school so successfully. …… A big thank you also to parents and staff who facilitated this experience. 

The finals will take place next week and letters will go out today or tomorrow advising parents if their child is to take part.
